The origin of Meanwhile Gardens dates back to the early 1970s, when a group of local Residents managed to save this half-acre strip of land from the Developers and the name is a tribute to its transitory nature! However, the area is now well-established as a local Park, whilst the Wildlife Garden has been managed by MIND since 1993 on land which is leased from the Borough.
